The seasonal men’s ready to wear collections are moving onto Paris now after a reasonably successful showing in Milan, meaning it is an opportune time for Salvatore Ferragamo to launch a new men’s shoe line. The collection is an eco-friendly line, which will see a percentage of profits donated to charity. Ferragamo has designed six causal styles for men, ranging from moccasins to boots, which will appeal to their eco-friendly frame of mind and style stakes.

Interesting post. There's something to be said for what I call "philanthropic shopping" - where companies attach a charity or cause to a product. Consumers of all spending abilities are always willing to spend "just a little more money" for the product that does something positive or enacts change over products that do not. The psychological aspect is brilliant. But one must wonder - is there a line between "doing your part to make a difference" and "exploiting a cause to create additional self income"...
